When I saw this car I had to get it.  My thought I want to give a Lamborghini to my grandson who just learned to drive.  Kind of like a joke.  Grandma giving her grandson a car, and a Lamborghini at that.  But then my husband had to be a kill joy and say he didn’t think the grandson would like it.  After all he is seventeen, working, driving and dating now.  I still bought it.  I do after all have a total of 4 grandsons ranging in age from 8-17.  So one of them will be getting this gorgeous car for Christmas.  It arrived in good condition and nicely packaged.  It is made of a hard durable plastic.  The car takes 3 triple A batteries and the remote takes 2 triple A batteries.  The remote has two gear shift like knobs on it for steering, reverse and forward, left and right and stop.  It has front headlights that are supposed to work and tail lights that are supposed to work.  Details provided on the seller page indicate the car can reach a speed of 10 mph.   Maybe I really bought it for myself.  We will see.

So having bought the Silver Mountain Snake Charm Bracelet I just had to have one of their glass beads to go on my bracelet.  I chose a nice pink one.  Beads Size: 15.5*8.4mm, Total Weight: 4.25g  It is glass and has the Silver Mountain on the logo on the side of the bead which you don’t see.  The glass side is facing outward.  This particular has a very delicate flower design inside the glass and is beautiful on the snake charm bracelet.   Words just cannot describe the delicateness and beauty of this charm.  Having just gone back to the page I see several other beads that will be added to my bracelet in the future.  You will not be disappointed.

Silver Snake Charm Bracelet 5 Stars

I am a bracelet fanatic.  I have baskets full of bracelets on top of my dresser.  Most I only wear occasionally but this bracelet I have worn every day since getting it.  It’s made of 925 Hypoallergenic Sterling Silver.  I chose a 7.5 inch chain.  I was a little worried about how much the chain would draw up after putting a charm on it but there is enough give in the chain that it’s not a problem.   Like the necklaces from Silver Mountain this bracelet is beautiful.  I like the way the chain bends like a snake (lol hence it’s name).  Unlike the necklaces (which I’m giving to my daughters) the bracelet is mine.   I did buy a charm/bead to go on my bracelet and it’s beautiful too.  See my separate post about it.  I have yet to check but I think those Pandora charms may fit on this bracelet as well.  If they don’t, Silver Mountain will by my go to for more.   The clasp on the bracelet, once I figured out how to open it, is fairly simple to operate.  Just slide your fingernail into the silver bead on the bracelet and pop open the catch.  To close make sure the narrow end of your bracelet is inside the catch and snap it back closed.  You will not be disappointed with this bracelet, either by itself or with a charm/bead.

I must say I was intrigued when I saw this lighter.  How could an electronic lighter possibly work?  Well I am totally blown away and amazed by this lighter.  When it arrived I had to immediately take it out of the package to play with it.  It comes in a very nice box for gifting.  It sits inside a nice foam piece in the box with a charging cord in it’s own box at the top.

 It was fully charged and ready for use.  I don’t smoke so I can’t testify as to how it lights a cigarette.  I do have candles, lots and lots of candles so I chose a wood wick candle to light.  I depressed the lighter switch while holding the wick where the arc would be and wouldn’t you know that candle lit in a matter of seconds.  Drop my jaw to the floor.

My next test was to light some incense.  Took only seconds for it to catch fire and start burning.

I think I will give the lighter to my mother who does smoke.  So if you’re into new fangled gadgets and are tired of buying those throw away kind of lighters from the store then definitely check out this arc lighter.   

The only fall back I can see to this lighter right now is if there ever was a power failure and it wasn’t charged up.

I bought this ring for a friend because she loves the color purple and deserves to have pretty things.   Her husband was never able to buy her these type of things and when he did they would inevitably have to go pawn her jewelry off to pay some bill.  So I had bought myself several rings from this company.  They were beautiful and this ring is no exception.    It has a beautiful large amethyst color rhinestone in the center with 6 smaller amethyst rhinestones on the sides (3 each side of the larger center stone). 

  The title calls this ring a Bridal Engagement Ring but this ring can be used for every day.  It is so much prettier in person than the picture portrays.

Okay so I bought this TF Card to go into a mini DV camera I had bought.  The TF card comes inside it’s own little plastic container  and the little USB plug comes with a strap or cord on it and fits easily into your computer USB port.  I looked at this thing and was quite perplexed on how I was going to get the TF card into the USB port because I thought the port did not come all the way out of the plastic case it was in.  Quite by accident I pulled the port out of the case and saw the place where the TF card fit.  And the cord keeps the port from coming unattached  from its plastic shield.  Quite ingenious I think. 

So having bought this item for the mini DV camera I was thinking what would I use this for but I just tried to use it like I would for a regular USB storage unit and it worked perfectly.  It’s small enough to keep on your keychain or in your purse or even tucked away by your computer.   The TF card is placed in the port in such a way that it will not fall out if you were to put this on a key chain.  So overall I’m pleased something good came out of the mini camera fiasco.  I’m not sure how much storage this TF card has on it, okay it’s 16 GB, and that’s enough for me.

Note I gave 4 Stars because my 'case' on the USB arrived damage and I think any replacement would be damaged as well.

I am a big fan of trivets and don’t care much to use cloth pot holders or even those new flimsy little metal pads that come with the electric stove top covers.  You can’t really was the little metal pads because they have cardboard on the back and the pot holders some of them are not very thick and I always worry about the heat going all the way through and scorching my counter tops so when I came across an actual cast iron trivet like my grandmother used to have of course I had to have it.  I love it.  It has rubber stops on the feet to protect all surfaces and with the feet the surface of the trivet is about a half inch off the ground.   The cast iron is more than strong enough to hold any pan that I might set on it and if it gets dirty it can easily go in the dishwasher or be hand washed and made ready for the next use.  The design is pretty enough you could easily hang it on your kitchen wall for some added extra country charm.

I inherited a pulse oximeter from my father-in-law when he passed away.  I didn’t like it lying loose in my bathroom drawer so ordered this case to put it in.    The case itself is no more than 2-3 long and plenty deep enough or wide enough to hold the oximeter.  It has a Velcro closure with a belt loop on the back side  and also has a small plastic hoop just above the belt loop if you wish to just hang it off of a hook or something else.   I think this is a nice little carrying case and easy to find item no matter where you store your pulse oximeter.

I bought these because we camp a lot and I thought this little set would come in handy, but I’m also somewhat of a “prepper” and thought also this would make a nice addition to a ‘bug out bag’.   It comes with two forks, two spoons and two bowls.  The bowls are plastic and probably hold about a cup.  So I’m not sure how useful the bowls would be to cook with  but if you have your pots and pans then the bowls would be good for your food once it’s cooked or even to use for a cereal bowl in the morning.  The items come nicely packaged in their own carrying case and can easily store in your ‘bug out bag’ or in a tote with all your camping gear.   In a survival situation they possibly be used for holding and collecting water or even to dig with.  Over all a nice little accessory for any outdoor situation.

And again because I am a “prepper” to some extent who could not pass up food and water bowls for their pets?  My pets are part of my family and I’m always thinking of their well being too.   In the event of something happening and we having to get away from our home I will have these pet bowls in my ‘bug out bag’ and know they (the cats) will be taken care of.   The travel bowls come in a nice little camouflage case that is zipped closed.  Once you open it up the two bowls stay attached to each other.  One bowl is double lined and is obviously for the water.  The other bowl has just the one liner.  They are vinyl and can be easily washed and then air dried.  I say each bowl probably is big enough to hold approximately 2 cups each of food and water.

I’ve had this camera for about a week now.  I have tried several times to charge it up.  I thought maybe it wouldn’t hold a charge because it needed a TF card so I bought a TF card.  So I go to put the TF Card inside the camera and it went totally down into the camera so far I had to take the camera apart just to get the card back out.  Upon taking the camera apart you could tell the spot where the card went was not installed correctly.  It had a sticky backing and was twisted upon itself.  So I straightened that up and put the TF card into the correct slot.  I then retried to charge the camera and again the camera wouldn’t charge.  The camera like the times before became so hot it practically burnt my fingers.  I don’t know if the camera is just so small it can’t conduct the heat or what but I never did get it to work.  So in the end I’ve decided to send the darn thing back.  The instructions are in broken English and not very easy to understand either.    In my opinion don’t waste your time on this product.

With the way the world is going I thought it would be a good idea to start journaling.  I firmly believe we are in the “End Times” and history is being made each and every day.   So when I came across this leather journal I had to have it.  I absolutely love it.  It has a dark brown leather cover front and back.  It has a very nice felt type pen that sits in the binding of the journal always there when you need it.  The journal also has a book mark that is attached so you can easily mark your place or a certain passage in your journal.  In the back of the journal there is a place for writing down names/addresses/telephone numbers.  In the front of the journal is a page to write down your information (name, address, email, etc) for return of your journal if it ever gets lost.  The one fall back with the journal that I found is that I cannot fold the book back to write easily on each side of the page.  (Well I guess I could but I don’t want to ruin the binding on the journal).

Another favorite from Silver Mountain.  Although I usually prefer the dainty and petite type of necklace I really, really like the celtic knot necklace as well.  This time I think the 18 inch chain is the perfect size.  The medallion falls right at my collar bone and is big enough to see from a distance.   I just love the quality of the silver and the chain.  Although like the other necklaces the clasp on this necklace is quite small but because it is not the alligator clip I had no problem putting the necklace on and clasping it the very first try.   So now I have three necklaces from Silver Mountain that I can give one each to my three daughters.  And being silver this can only be a GOOD investment for me and them.   Not to mention the oh so pretty gift box that they each come in. 

I am eyeing a nice blue snowflake necklace they have and just might treat myself to that one.  Then we each shall have something special.

Our BBQ’ing season is pretty much over, November here in the Midwest, but what appealed to me about these gloves is the fact that they are heat resistant.  Who doesn’t have that pair of oven mitts that has the hole in the fingertip that invariably burns your finger when you touch the hot pan?  But you never throw the darn thing away because you never think to go buy a new one.   So the night we tried out the gloves we had made Cornish game hens.  Since there were a pair of the gloves it was very easy to remove the pan from the oven and to remove the foil from roasting pan.  No heat was felt through the gloves and because the gloves have texture the pan was very easy to hold.  The gloves though I think are a bit bulky and make grasping things like tongs and things that require dexterity a little more difficult.  The gloves being made of silicone are easy to clean with warm soapy water.  There is even a hole in the hand area for hanging your gloves up out of the way when not in use.  The gloves do reach past my wrist probably mid-way to my elbow so even for use on the grill these gloves will make a nice addition to my cooking ensemble. 

Side note here I made loaded baked potatoes the other night and these gloves were perfect for taking the pan out of the oven, holding the potato while slicing it open, and then pulling it out of the broiler after the cheese was melted.  My hand was totally shielded from the heat.   Due to my disability I was always burning my hand or fingers on the oven and now I don’t have to worry about that.  Whoever invented these things is a genius.

With the holidays comes crafting season.  And crafting season means cheese cloth.  What I really like about this cheese cloth is that it comes in three packages.  I can put away what I don’t need at the time and know I have more on hand.  When I get to the third package it’s time to order more.  I use the cheese cloth to stain with and can cut multiple pieces off at a time to use.
