I saw ads for this thing on Face Book and when I came across this in my online shopping frenzy I just had to give it a try.  I imagine it's geared more for builders and guys who do a lot of intricate design type of stuff but girls like tools too.

It has screws in it that loosen so you can maneuver the tool into what ever shape you need.  Tighten the screws and viola you are ready to go.   There are two measurements marked off on the template, one is inches, and the other is probably centimeters.  

My intended purpose for this tool is to create a geometric design on a bedroom wall, tape it and then paint it.  As you can see from my photos the template can twist to just about any shape.  I can't wait to test it out.

When I came across this leather journal the writer in me just had to get it.  It arrived very quickly in the mail.  While the journal tries to portray an old timey look you can tell it is put together very quickly.  The ornamental stitching looks like it could come loose with any significant use and once it does the whole thing will fall apart.

The paper inside is stapled to a separate piece of leather which is held in place by the ornamental stitching on the front.  The ad on Amazon indicates you can replace the paper but I really don't see how that's possible if everything is stitched together.  But I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

A writing utensil is included with this piece and I was very pleasantly surprised to find the wooden pencil was actually an ink pen.  The pouch for the pen is a nice container and slides into a ing on the cover to keep it with the journal.  However that aspect of the journal is strictly for looks and not functionality because the loop is rather large and the pencil/pen case will easily slide out if held vertical to the floor.

I found the pen very difficult to get out of its holder.  I practically had to fold the edges over to get the pen out.  Younger fingers may find it easier to do but I found it very difficult if not almost impossible.

Overall this is a nice little journaling set.  And did I mention the nice leather smell?

I was given the opportunity to check out this product. I had been seeing this being posted by others and so I was eagerly waiting for it to arrive. Almost on pins and needles. And then it came. The very first thing I noticed and liked about it right away was the size. A nice big size to see and to write on. The second thing I liked about it was that fact that it was magnetic. I removed the old small paper memo/planner thing I had on my refrigerator (had to clean the space up, but that beside the point) and put this nice new one in it's place. The next thing I noticed was that it DID NOT come with a dry erase pen. My daughter told me she has a nice white chalk dry erase pen but it's at her house and not not mine. So I went out and bought a nice package of neon colored pens. The lighter and brighter colors work the best, like the yellow, the orange, the pink. I'm kind of curious as to how the white will work. The board is very easy to clean and the ink comes off easy peasy. In addtion I like the layout. There is a section to plan your week's menu, a section to keep tabs on groceries you might need AND a section for notes for activities you might want to keep track of during the week. A win-win in my book because the one I threw away definitely could not handle all that writing or all those things.
